Originally taken in the early 1970s, this photograph had faded with time and also demonstrated a strong colour cast—most noticeable in the boy’s white shorts and collar.

After scanning the photograph minor marks were removed. The colour cast was removed and the contrast corrected, establishing true whites and blacks.

A photograph any mother would be proud of!
